I got Googled (I didn’t expect I was Googable)

Somehow I’ve let my guard down. I’ve been able to maintain cyber low profile for many many years but I guess not anymore.

Interesting to know that I am googable. Initially I did realize my post on Incubus’s Light Grenade album review got me many hits before but since then I thought there wasn’t anything else worth people to read.

Anyway, so far life has been fine and dandy but not so much for my own personal health. I’ve had one too many trips to the doctor. I’ve been having viral induced fevers (from tonsillitis) which is the worst to get. Any fever induced by a virus is painful. And it doesn’t help when you can feel your glands swell up.

Yea it got me off work for a couple of days but a sick day is what it is, a sick sick day.

As a consolation I did get to stay home and watch some Olympic events. I spent the rest of the day taking a well deserved rest, in front of the idiot box. It’d either be TV or with Zeke (yes I named my Xbox 360).

Can’t help it if I’m an avid gamer. Gaming is definitely one of the best things in my life. I’ve decided to join the Church of Gaming!!!! Celebrate Winter-een-Mas! If anyone is wondering what the hell am I brainfarting, go visit www.ctrlaltdel-online.com and read the comics! Start from the 1st strip of course!! Personally I enjoy this.

How random can I be!!! I do wonder what kind of mind do I have. It shifts so easily but I do remember details though so it doesn’t mean I won’t remember anything!!!

Time to sit on my Ogawa Mobile Seat before I sleep. Need to relax and de-stress. That’s how life should be.

I’ve been working my ass off. As much as I’d want to slack I can’t. I can’t do such a thing coz of my nature. Sucks to be me. I’m just like a good soldier. But it’s not like I follow orders only. I do question things but rationale kicks in and the reality of getting the job done sinks in. Bahhh

I had my first mid year performance review. Ain’t too shabby if I say so myself.

I’ve noticed since I’ve moved into this big city that I’ve gotten so much in a span of half a year than I’d normally would in a year. How crap is that! Tonsillitis is what I’ve been gettin. Then comes in the viral induced fever. Hurts like a truck carrying a full load of machinery in a 45 footer container.

I need new inks. And a pair of Onitzuka Tigers.

Been a long time since I’ve submitted an entry…

Transition from studying to working…What a killer!!! Currently working at Maersk Line Malaysia. Yes, shipping…way off from what I was doing in school. Well maybe not really. My job description is to take care of the clients of Maersk Line. Yes, a customer service position but on contrary to the name, it’s more to it. Been involved in documentation of the important document that can allow for cargo to be released.

Kinda boring actually and it looks so repetitive and all but somehow what we do (in CRC) is more than we really realize. Ah well…

Since working I’ve kinda put many things on hold. I haven’t trained in a while and after getting my ikkyu, I think I should’ve been a 1st Dan by now. Wayde beat me to it again but its understandable since I haven’t been training in a very long time.

Aside from that I’ve been gaming a lot since getting a Xbox 360. Bought with hard earned working money. Of course not fully my own as Kai did contribute to the console. Next stop the Wii and PS3

Awesome small gig at Miami Bistro/Pub/Bar with Redqueen

Had a blast of a night watching a friend’s band, Redqueen, play at a local pub. 1st show for the band as a band but most of the lads in it have played previously in other bands back in the day. Despite the many heartaches and pain in the week for the guys (yes, there were cracks here n there) I’d say it was good coz they went thru so much in that week where I’ve seen such things happen over a longer span so I’d have to admit they went thru a lot!!!!

It was a nice set with 6 songs played. 2 originals and 4 covers.

Redqueen originals were Mirrorwall and Dear Departed and the covers were Coma White (M.Manson), Judith and 3 Libras (A Perfect Circle) and Take my Picture (Filter).

Good blend of everything and it was a good time for the lads as well.

2 other bands played that night, Guru and Last Minute. Awesome performers! Kudos to those lads too!!!

It was a blast for me especially since I got to know new people this year and is blessed with forming new friendships.

Kudos to Redqueen! You guys got my vote!!!

Update after how long? Can’t smell the fart anymore….

I can safely say I’m officially an unemployed bum. I’ve graduated (as far as my university has told me unofficially) and now the struggle to stay alive in the real world ensues.

I’m back home in Kuching now and have met up with many friends albeit not as frequently as I’d hoped. Busy here and there…

Kai was around for 3 weeks and it was wonderful showing off what this lovely hometown o mine…. Been to places I’ve never been to myself and it was an experience I can never forget.

I’d have to apologize to many whom I’ve not managed to hang out with as much due to many many clashes with plans I’ve organized. But hey, it was Kai’s 1st visit down here and I wanted to bring her around as best as I could. Doesn’t help when I don’t get the car as much as I’ve wanted to…

Whatever it is, being back for also a month and a half is great but I am likely to relocate in KL for jobs.

Gotta get more things done now! The hunt begins…..

Airports

There are two main emotions you’d get at airports. It’s either happy or sad. It goes either way if someone were to arrive or leave. You’d be glad that an annoying relative or friend is there (at the airport) on a flight far far away but sad when a person you love has to go somewhere.

Also you can tell if a person is in a long distant (and long term) relationship. This, you can tell is by one painful and sad it is to go to airports to see your partner off.

It’s just painful for me now to go to airports especially when I’m not getting on the airplane….

It’s not a good day for me today.

Quick update!

Briefly what’s been goin on and what to expect to be in detail sometime soon!

I’ve passed my Kendo grading…now I’m Ikkyu (1st kyu) so what that means is in 6 months from now, I’m eligible to grade for my Shodan (1st dan) which equates to a black belt in martial arts. It was a good grading and kudos to Wayde for doing kata with me in the grading albeit with so little practise between the two of us and thanks to Josh-sensei for drilling us in short notice for the katas!!

Recently went to watch Chris Cornell and Linkin Park at Burswood Dome. Great show, wonderful night! Expect details later….

Enjoyed the Burmese food fair somewhere in Beckenham, and thanks to the lovely couple Dean and Lizzy (and baby Djimon) for bringing us along. Had a nice time with the Drapers.

Now I’m going to have to push thru and get this damn thesis done with….then focus on 2 other papers….and another 2 finals, then I can say goodbye to this nice (but pathetic) place I’ve lived in for 4 years. If it weren’t for all the nice wonderful I’ve met and known, I wouldn’t be able to survive for so long!

What else is in store for my future?
I really don’t know…I’ll just go with the flow but I’ll steer the boat in directions I feel like going into.

Absence….

Been unable to bring myself to update this page in a while.

Stress makes me do lotsa things. Specifically not doing this damn thesis that is due so soon. As well as another 2 papers to finish.

Fasting came and now it’s done. Well over a couple of months since I haven’t logged an entry here. Only doing it now coz of some maintenance to the laptop so I can’t be doing anything requiring too much CPU.

In a nutshell, I’m still alive and farting my way thru this miserable times of stress and tension of life especially with the situation at the place I’m staying.

Money brings out the true nature of a person I suppose.

Upcoming events in my life:
Chris Cornell and Linkin Park gig on the 18th
Sexpo on the 19th
Burmese Food Fair on the 20th
Also meeting up with wonderful ex-housemates on the 17th

There’s a bunch of other things coming up but the killer is on the 29th where the thesis is due.

Oh Lord, Deliver to me patience (and a perfect thesis!)

So props to Dark_Alex for a kickass work but unfortunately good bye as well since some dumbassess just talk too much shit, whining and complaining about “M33″ for being ‘difficult’….Until it was known that M33 was D_A then now he’s gone and quit due to hissy fits of ungrateful users! Sigh!!!

Stupidity reigns once again.

Well, based on my previous entries of my new piece of ink, I never put a picture of what I had done…

That’s the original image which I brought with me, I have pictures of the end result but I’m not gonna put it on yet till it’s completely healed out.

I’m stoked about it still!!

Oh I got out to watch the Simpson’s movie and I have to admit it’s funny and cool to see them on the big screen but no matter what, Transformers is still the best movie of 2007!

I know it’s an unfair comparison but I did shed a tear in my eye when them nice huge Autobots rolled out in action. It just hits deep inside me somehow or rather to those who loved Transformers as a kid.

I’ve started buying comics as well but only Transformers and GI Joe. It couldn’t be helped!! Interestingly Transformers Origins is kick ass coz it’s going to the story of how Megatron became the leader of the Decepticons. Just being a kid again I suppose
