Oh I got out to watch the Simpson’s movie and I have to admit it’s funny and cool to see them on the big screen but no matter what, Transformers is still the best movie of 2007!

I know it’s an unfair comparison but I did shed a tear in my eye when them nice huge Autobots rolled out in action. It just hits deep inside me somehow or rather to those who loved Transformers as a kid.

I’ve started buying comics as well but only Transformers and GI Joe. It couldn’t be helped!! Interestingly Transformers Origins is kick ass coz it’s going to the story of how Megatron became the leader of the Decepticons. Just being a kid again I suppose

I was fortunate to watch Soulfly play and Caliban was pretty good too. It was a fun night provided I went myself. No one I know was there or was going (not like I have many friends to begin with). It was funny though coz I was 2nd in line. Doors opened at 8 but I was there by 6. Another guy was there from 4 so I’m not so crazy after all. It was funny coz 2 guys showed up later and was there just to watch Caliban. This Irish guy flew to Melbourne on Sunday night just to watch Caliban and flew back to Perth to watch them again. Talk about fandom! It was interesting listening to them. I just stood there…I didn’t know the guys so I just listened, not like I could help it!

Another bunch came and that was funnier coz it was the beginning of the crowd buildup. The funny things these metalheads talk about; mainly experience about other gigs to sick stuff in porn to making fun outta random people passing by. I’d rather listen to metalheads speak than a person I have to put up with in my flat…At least these metalheads speak in complete sentences without needing any “ya know like, vocalized pauses, like, ya know, like”.

Being in line with those bunch of guys were hilarious. Despite me just standing there quietly, they did introduce themselves at one point and all, so just made a couple of acquaintances or at least people to talk to (not like that’s necessary).

FYI, I think I was the only Asian there and that itself was daunting since you have all these metalheads, bigger than me, looking more badass than me, at the damn place… I think it was pretty weird to see a kinda neat looking person at the front of the floor.

Caliban naturally played first, and for a German band (besides Rammstein) they were kick ass. Their set was cool and fucking brought the house down. Can’t say much about the playlist since I’ve never listened to any of their stuff (until now) but I can tell you it was good.

Soulfly was fucking A+!!! Started off with Babylon, and was then just hitting one after another. It got so fucking wild I was practically crushed in the 1st song! I got the battlewounds to show for that! Battered and bruised…just wat Doc Metalhead prescribed!!!! I don’t remember the playlist but I do know they played Prophecy, Jumpdafuckup, Primitive, tons from Dark Ages and best part they played Roots!!!!! In the middle of the set, they took out 3 drums and out came members of Caliban hitting it and Max picked a guy out from the crowd and he got to hit it on stage with the lot! Fucking lucky bastard!! I’ll tell you he was the luckiest guy there coz he caught 2 guitar picks from Caliban, a half broken drumstick from Max and a pair of drumsticks as well (from being picked!!). I don’t know but he could’ve gotten picks from Max as well coz he managed to stay/move to the middle whilst I got pushed to the left side of stage so I stood in front of the bassist. I didn’t stay for the encore coz my phone was dying and I tried to catch the bus back but took a cab instead. Also I was pretty much too battered up to withstand more shoves and elbows from all directions!

What I got from the show was a guitar pick, handshakes from the guitarist of Caliban and Max Cavalera!! Couldn’t get anything from Soulfly coz things were mainly given to people in the middle front row…Lucky bastards!!!! I’ve got vids and pics from the show…

I came back bruised, battered and drenched in sweat last night. IT WAS A F**KIN BEST NIGHT!

It’s been almost a week since my last post.

Finally I’ve done my assignments for this semester. I did 2 concurrently. TWO. And it’s pretty shit coz it’s just different yet the same. It has relevant points in it but is different still (that still makes no sense!). Whatever it is I’m done. One assignment I’m not so proud of…. I didn’t want to hand it in for it is so shit terrible. But I have to hand it in coz I’d fail if I didn’t. This comes to show effort must be worth something!

The heavyweight assignment, I just finish yesterday. Just before 12am, I printed it all out. After about 40+ hours of sleep deprivation that is. In fact I was so tired, I didn’t go to work this morning. I overslept!!!! I’m gonna get into shit tomorrow for that!!

If you think about it again… I wouldn’t/shouldn’t work today anyway coz it Aid el fitr!!!! Normally I don’t go nuts about this but this year has been superbly nuts so a certain celebration ain’t so bad!

I just hope I still have a job. Its only 1 day and its the first time I’ve not shown up without giving a weeks notice. I’m sure that has to account for something.

As it is, I feel like someone is cursing me right now at work. God damn it old man, I’ve not slept!

Soulfly show in a couple of days!!! Ultimate de-stress!!!!! I got the new deftones and Trivium about a week ago, and new deftones album is pretty sweet and has a very cool trippy yet heavy feel to it. Trivium’s ‘The Crusade’ isn’t as particularly heavy as ‘Ascendency’ but it’s cool with its guitar solos and old metal feel to it.

I’m still sleepy.

Amazing how life just whizzes by and I sit here still in the dust. Tons to do yet I’m amazed of how little I’m doing.

Deep inside, a sense of blind rage seems afoot. I’m on the verge of killing people. I don’t understand how some idiots go in schools and shoot the place up….yet only manage to injure or kill 1 or 2 people. Dumbass. I could do way better than that. You hear the accounts that people duck for cover and all that. Gosh….sitting ducks!!!!! That’s like free bonus points right there. I wonder why these sociopaths just can’t take good aim and shoot.

I wish I had guns,rifles..any firearm. I’m a potential to go postal. Isn’t everyone?

Everyday I think about taking aim at people and squeezing the trigger. See that cloud of red mist spray into the air…..Sweet success…..

With my current physical state, I still wonder if I’m fit enough to join the army.

I like it a lot! No kitchen sink???

Originally, I was trying to get the Oakley Kitchen Sink backpack. I’d have to say it was the backpack I was looking for. In the beginning, they were out of stock. When it came to it, the K.Sink was discontinued..Discontinued!!!. I’ve waited for so long to be bummed out they don’t make it anymore. Even got my sis to look for it in LA, and again….still no cigar!

The Toolbox was/still? the new one out so knowing me I got it.

The pack is wonderful. Designed more for mountain bikers, with all the slots and compartments for mountain biking needs. My fave is the compartment that keeps the sunglasses(Oakley of course!).

Not the biggest pack in the world, it makes it up for style and comfort. It has gone through the weather test which was basically excellent. None of the stuff inside was soaked. It has a comfy back and the necessary straps to ensure maximum fit.

Ain’t she a pretty one…. Lo and behold, my cellphone which I am very content with. It’s sleek,pretty(but macho) and practical cellphone for me.

The 3.2 Cybershot camera infused into the phone is just a sweet deal. I don’t exactly own a digital camera so this is a sweet substitute neatly wrapped in a phone. Again it is no replacement coz a phone is a phone and a camera is a camera. But for people like me who can’t be bugged to lug a camera around, this will suffice.

Being an avid Nokia user since forever, making the switch to Sony Ericsson was the same as the switch from Windows PC to Apple Macintosh. Perfect and easy(with a little getting used to).

What I’ve found in term of software in the phone is just what I needed! Hardware itself…well….isn’t it suffice from the picture? I know there are Nokias (N series) that sport Carl Zeiss lens and what not but for me the N series doesn’t strike as having the look I’d enjoy. I was awaiting the N80 but upon seeing it, it really looks like a sliding bulky box. The K800i isn’t exactly small but it isn’t big either. The lens cover does seem outta place and give the extra bulge to the phone but aside from that it maintains a simple and elegant look.

The pictures taken so far is adequate and I’m not complaining a bit. My only complaint is the battery life. Compared to Nokias, it has the tendency to be out by 2-3 days depending on usage. This is the only phone I’ve owned that has actually died on me while I’m out. Nokias tend to hold out until I get back home but the K800i means business when it indicates ‘Low Battery”. Another good/bad thing is the format of the expandable media. It uses Sony’s new M2 memory stick, which is the tiniest and thinnest thin I’ve seen in a memory stick! Drawback is the price is still expensive and I’ve gotten myself a 512MB stick for quite a lot. Take note that it’s Sony’s own media and not SanDisk. So far the max is 2 GB but I haven’t seen one yet.

Aside from that, the K800i is a beautiful engineered phone that integrates both camera and phone nicely together. I’ll post some pics I’ve taken with the phone some other time to let everyone to know what’s really going on.

I am utterly confused. I have an invoice indicating an amount I owe. I’ve paid the amount so la-dee-daa I’m done with it. But I decided to check the same thing except online and what do I find…..The amount owed is more! In fact it’s about 1 grand more!!

I’m torn between paying the amount from what I saw online or whether I should argue my way and say “Hey, I got your invoice and I paid it…In fact the outstanding balance indicated I paid the 1 grand! “*shows invoice*. Hmmm… I’ve talked to mumsy and she said twas cool for me to stay on a bit longer here and work a bit more before I head back home! I actually can’t wait to go back home. Did I tell you I hate this place I call a hell-hole? You’d think you’d like it for the opportunity and open-minded of a Western country but somehow I don’t see that here in WA. In fact, I hate this place so much that I feel like everyone can fart and kiss my shiny ass!

Stupid place has to die by 6pm! What kinda logic is that??? I mean, how can an economy thrive when business is limited to 9-5 type opening hours??? No doubt they are places open like pubs, restaurants, cafes and whatever type of eatery, but a person can hardly go window shopping or shopping (unless it’s late night shopping). Don’t they know people do like to hang out at malls and then adjourn to a cafe or bar later???

I’d imagine how bummed out tourist are when the city is dead by 7pm. Besides eating and drinking, they do want to go do some shopping (yes at night). Or even if you have a friend coming from another country visiting and the host works in the day….How do they bring the friend out for shopping? I mean not everyone like sitting at a bar or restaurant all the time. I mean don’t people like shopping? Or is it just me? I believe it is not gay to like to hang out at malls or shop buy things.

People have heard me time and again bitch about the absurdity of Australia’s trend of letting the city die by 7pm. Last Saturday night, we went out to the city for dinner and once done had to just go back since nothing was open in the city when we’d prefer to hang out or walking around (preferably window shopping) but just had no choice. How sad is Australia? About one of the many reasons I hate this hell hole.

Don’t even get me started with the game they call “footie”. Australia Rules Football is the most ridiculous “sport”. It’s not an international sport unlike football(soccer for you jack asses), rugby or basketball. I understand maybe they’re trying to imitate grid-iron football in the USA but the NFL is way cool and kicks ass compared to the gay looking AFL. It seems like they couldn’t decide whether to play rugby and soccer so decided to combine the two game.

Despite being here for almost 3 years, I still don’t understand the game, don’t like the game, and hope those who play the game would just realize the worthlessness of it and play a real sport. I mean you take it so seriously but can’t bring the “talent” of it to a global level…That’s just sad. Don’t try to follow the USA. USA is way bigger and way populated so if they wanna do what they wanna do is fine (plus grid-iron is actually a kick ass sport) but “Aussie” football is just….well….lame. And it does not look cool.

But what would I know right….Aren’t I just a person ranting?
